Awards in 2007

Victoria Teachers Credit Union has won 2007 Credit Union of the Year at the Australian Financial Review (AFR) Smart Investor Blue Ribbon Awards.

The AFR Smart Investor Magazine (formerly Personal Investor Magazine) Blue Ribbon Awards continue to be recognised as the premier awards for banking and insurance services in Australia. The awards are unique as they are the most comprehensive, independent awards across the banking and insurance industries.

In addition to this award, Victoria Teachers Credit Union’s commitment to its Members was again rewarded by being named a finalist in the Credit Union of the Year category in Money Magazine’s Consumer Finance Awards 2007.

External recognition such as these awards is a credit to all our people and everything that Victoria Teachers Credit Union stands for in serving the education community.

Awards in 2006

Our Savings Account won a Bronze award in the Best Transaction Account category of the Money Magazine Best of the Best 2006 Awards and we were also Money Minder of the Year finalist.

Victoria Teachers Credit Union’s Home Bonus Saver and Online Saver Accounts have also received a five star rating from Cannex.

We also won the ‘Structured Finance Deal of the Year’ for the CFO Magazine/AFR Awards. This award recognises the innovative nature of capital-raising that the Credit Union has participating in with 21 other credit unions.

Awards in 2005
The Personal Investor Awards for Excellence in Financial Services is an independent rating of Australian investment, insurance and banking products.

They are awarded based on rates, fees, features and accessibility. The process involves analysis of hundreds of products offered by dozens of financial institutions.

Victoria Teachers Credit Union received four Personal Investor awards in the following categories:
