Donations
Every year we donate money to worthwhile causes to support the Victorian Education Community and the environment.
Our chosen charities that we donate to include:
- State Schools' Relief – an organisation that provides clothing and footwear to school children in need.
- Better Buddies – an anti-bullying program in Primary Schools.
- Early Childhood Education Foundation – to assist families who cannot afford Preschool education.
- Natural Resources Conservation League – activities associated with biolinks to the environment.
Grants & Awards
The Credit Union also provides numerous grants and awards which assist our education system in the pursuit of excellence.
Some of these include:
- Teaching Initiatives Program – grants for Schools and Preschools to support the development of innovative learning techniques. Since 1993 we have awarded over $375,000.
- Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
- $10,000 study bursary award for the Most Outstanding Primary Teacher of the Year.
- $10,000 study bursary award for the Most Outstanding Early Childhood Teacher of the Year.
- $10,000 study bursary award for the Most Outstanding Teacher – Disability and Additional Needs.
- Barwon South Western region – Graduate Teacher Awards – professional development grants for high achieving graduates.
- Principal study awards.
- Student Teacher Awards – study grants throughout the various education faculties that recognise high achieving pre-service teachers and to encourage student teachers to work in regional areas.
